From 8-14 November, the 8th International Sherry Week will see Sherry lovers around the globe sniffing, sipping, and savouring these unique and versatile wines.

Here at the Califa we have organised exciting events to show off sherry in all its forms.

  • El Jardín del Califa’s new Autumn/Winter menu pairing with Sherry wines: In the heart of Vejer, in the restaurant El Jardín del Califa, the Andalusian culture will merge at the table with the best Sherry wines of Bodegas González Byass. From 8 to 22 November, food lovers will be able to enjoy a pairing of the new dishes of the Autumn/Winter season at El Jardín del Califa with González Byass wines. In addition, on 11 November from 13:00, you will be able to enjoy the pairing of González Byass oenologist Silvia Flores, who will be at the restaurant to discover the wonderful world of sherry wines and their pairing with Middle Eastern gastronomy.   • La Tetería del Califa special great sherry cocktails including our own Mojito Jerezano, Flamenco Jerezano, Olé, Mangueta Beach and many more. Our barista is on hand to educate in the wonders of this most versatile of drinks. Check the special menu.

  • In FEZ Vejer, from the 8th of November until the 14th, we will offer you a glass of fino or manzanilla as an aperitif.

  • In our restaurant Corredera 55 you could enjoy a Sherry Spritz during the International Sherry Week.

In addition, the new seasonal menu, which will be released in a few days, will include some recipes made with sherry wines. Stay tuned to our magazine and our social networks!
