The crossing is part of the challenging Oceans Seven marathon swimming events. I thought to myself if I want to get wet I could just swum across the bay of Barbate or perhaps just take a short dip off El Palmar beach. If that\u2019s too challenging maybe a quick swim in my pool or (worst case scenario) a shower. On reflection swimming from Europe to Africa seemed like a much more exciting prospect&#8221;.\r\n\r\n<iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QQWG1r4-qwQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\r\n\r\n\u201cIf it doesn\u2019t challenge you, it doesn\u2019t change you\u2026\u201d Well that\u2019s another inspirational quote to lean on as I struggle and splutter on my first training swim across Trafalgar Bay. On this occasion however I think it\u2019s probably true\u2026\r\n\r\n<iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/30XqjxPuVRo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\r\n\r\nThis is the story of James Stuart and friends in the unexpected challenge of swimming from Spain to Morocco. &#8220;Nobody\u2019s obliging us to swim, this is quite simply about the challenge. Why? Well we all have our reasons, whether we find them or not is, I guess, part of the story&#8221;.\r\n\r\n<strong>Vicente Ferrer Foundation<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>\u201cThe Vicente Ferrer Foundation is an ONG committed since 1969 to the process of transformation of one of the most impoverished areas of southern India: the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We believe in people and in the power of action. That is why we engage particularly vulnerable groups and disadvantaged communities to achieve social justice and sustainable development\u201d.<\/em> \u2013 <em>Moncho Ferrer<\/em>\r\n\r\nOur aim is to raise the modest sum of 4.470\u20ac however we would of course like to raise far more. Your contribution will make it possible to provide medical treatment to 32 children from rural villages with cancer and \/ or renal diseases. 100% of the amount donated will be transferred to the project.\r\n\r\nAbout 50,000 children in India are diagnosed with cancer each year. The cure rate in low- and middle-income in countries such as India is between 15% and 45%, compared to more than 80% in high-income countries. There are many fundamental reasons for this large gap, such as delayed diagnosis and lack of access to treatment. The 32 beneficiary children of this programme all live in different villages in the rural district of Anantapur, where there are no hospitals or specialised staff to diagnose and treat this type of disease.\r\n\r\nThe project aims to address the lack of specialised health care for minors and adolescents by covering their treatment in a specialised hospital, together with the transport, food and accommodation costs of family members who have to travel and accompany their children throughout the process. It also provides psychological and emotional support for families, who, freed from financial expenses, can focus on the wellbeing and recovery of their children.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
