Some openings have more to do with people and places than with a simple office. And that is exactly how we have been feeling these days in Vejer.
We have opened the first physical office of Califa Casas<\/a> and, while preparing the story and seeing how even Diario de C\u00e1diz reported on the growth of tourist accommodation in the area<\/a>, we realised that this was not really just about an office.
It was about a village that continues to grow, about people who increasingly choose to stay here for longer, and about a much slower, more conscious and more connected way of travelling.<\/p>\n

According to the latest figures from the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Affairs of the Andalusian Government, Vejer now exceeds 5,700 regulated tourist accommodation places. C\u00e1diz also welcomed more than 837,000 visitors during the first quarter of 2026, consolidating its position as one of the highest-rated provinces among travellers.
But behind the numbers there is something much easier to notice simply by walking through the streets of Vejer, even outside the high season. More travellers are arriving looking to work remotely in a charming setting, couples want to lose themselves among whitewashed streets, families prioritise peaceful accommodation, and international visitors are discovering the Costa de la Luz far beyond the summer months.<\/p>\n

The way tourist accommodation is understood is also changing. More and more attention is being given to quality, personalised service and legal accommodation that integrates naturally with the surroundings. Perhaps because travellers themselves have changed too. They are no longer simply looking for somewhere to sleep. They want to feel part of the place for a few days.
Because here, accommodation is part of the experience. It is a terrace at sunset, a hidden house tucked away in a narrow street, the sound of church bells in the morning, or the proximity to places such as El Palmar, Los Ca\u00f1os de Meca, Zahora, Trafalgar or the La Bre\u00f1a Natural Park.
That is why we wanted the new Califa Casas office to be more than just a management point, but also a small welcoming space for travellers and property owners right in the heart of Vejer.<\/p>\n

Behind the new office are Juani and Antonia, welcoming travellers and property owners with the warmth and closeness so characteristic of both Vejer and Califa Casas. Located at Plaza de Espa\u00f1a 8A, the office has been designed as a friendly place to answer questions, share recommendations or simply welcome those arriving in Vejer.
