Vejer heads into the final week of August with a packed programme of music, flamenco, art, cultural tours and activities that showcase its surroundings.<\/p>\n

The closing days of the patron saint festivities, the 53rd Noche Flamenca, concerts in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a and activities at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation take centre stage over the coming days.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the highlights from 20 to 27 August 2026.<\/p>\n

Thursday 20 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The day begins with the traditional street market<\/strong> on Calle El Chorrillo, from 9:00 to 14:00. At 10:30, the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation<\/a> will host a guided tour of its sculpture park. The activity costs 20 euros and advance booking is required.<\/p>\n

At sunset, live music comes to El Palmar<\/strong>, with Mirrorball at El Pico de la Ola and Denis de Son at N\u00f3mada Playa.<\/p>\n

Later in the evening, Nano de Marbella<\/strong> will perform at Caragato Taberna Flamenca at 21:30. Plaza de Espa\u00f1a will host Carnival Night<\/strong> with \u201cDSAS3\u201d by Jes\u00fas Bienvenido, winner of first prize at COAC 2026, at 23:00. The evening will continue with David Moreno DJ<\/strong> at 00:30.<\/p>\n

There will also be a concert by Surrenders<\/strong> at 4 Tapas Vejer at 23:30.<\/p>\n

Friday 21 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Los Sab\u00e1ticos<\/strong> will perform at El Pico de la Ola and Carmen Mart\u00edn<\/strong> at N\u00f3mada Playa, both at sunset.<\/p>\n

At 22:00, a flamenco show<\/strong> will take place at the Centro Cultural Municipal Antigua Iglesia del Rosario, featuring Antonio Garc\u00eda on vocals, Ver\u00f3nica Melero and Camila Guimarey dancing, and Eloy Gonz\u00e1lez on guitar. Admission is free.<\/p>\n

From 23:00, Plaza de Espa\u00f1a will welcome La Contrabanda and DJ Ciles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saturday 22 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Saturday offers several ways to start the day surrounded by art and nature. At 10:00, a yoga session will be held at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, priced at 10 euros. At 10:30, the \u201cCambiar la mirada\u201d workshop will begin, also at the Foundation.<\/p>\n

From 10:00 to 14:00, visitors can join a guided tour of the Torre del Tajo<\/strong> in La Bre\u00f1a y Marismas del Barbate Natural Park. The price is 2.50 euros.<\/p>\n

The music begins at 16:00 with Fran Casillas at N\u00f3mada Playa<\/strong>. At sunset, the same venue will host a concert by Son de Bares.<\/p>\n

The Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation will also offer a visit to James Turrell\u2019s light sequence<\/strong> at dusk. The experience costs 30 euros per person, requires a minimum group of four and is not recommended for children under 12.<\/p>\n

One of the week\u2019s main events will be the 53rd Noche Flamenca de Vejer<\/strong>, recognised as an Event of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia. It will begin at 22:30 at the Murallas de la Segur. Tickets are available from Tickentradas and at the Complejo Deportivo Municipal, from 11:30 to 13:30.<\/p>\n

The evening will continue in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a with Superagente 86 and DJ Angelo<\/strong> from 23:30.<\/p>\n

Sunday 23 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The guided tour of the Torre del Tajo<\/strong> will be available again on Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00.<\/p>\n

In El Palmar,<\/strong> DJ La Armas will perform at N\u00f3mada Playa at 16:00. At sunset, Milenials will take to the stage at El Pico de la Ola, while Mois\u00e9s Losada will perform at N\u00f3mada Playa.<\/p>\n

There will also be another opportunity to experience James Turrell\u2019s light sequence at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation.<\/p>\n

At 23:00, Dinosaurios Rock Cover Band will round off the day\u2019s live music in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Monday 24 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

At 17:00, the statue of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Oliva will be taken from the Divino Salvador church to its sanctuary.<\/p>\n

In the evening, Plaza de Espa\u00f1a will host a concert by Malahora and a set by David Moreno DJ from 23:00.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 25 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Pe\u00f1a Cultural Flamenca, located on Calle Rosario, will host a flamenco gathering from 20:00.<\/p>\n

It will also be the final day to visit the exhibition \u201cEse preciso instante\u201d by Juan Qui\u00f1ones Grimaldi at Vejer\u2019s Museum of History and Archaeology.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 26 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wednesday is an ideal opportunity to discover Vejer\u2019s historic quarter on one of the guided tours exploring its streets, walls, monuments and legends.<\/p>\n

Thursday 27 August<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The street market returns to Calle El Chorrillo from 9:00 to 14:00.<\/p>\n

At 10:30, the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation will host \u201cDesayunos con arte\u201d, an activity combining food and culture. It costs 20 euros and advance booking is required.<\/p>\n

At 21:30, Nano de Marbella will give another flamenco performance at Caragato Taberna Flamenca.<\/p>\n

Guided tours of Vejer<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Several tours of the historic quarter will be available throughout the week:<\/p>\n
