Vejer heads into the final week of August with a packed programme of music, flamenco, art, cultural tours and activities that showcase its surroundings.
The closing days of the patron saint festivities, the 53rd Noche Flamenca, concerts in Plaza de España and activities at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation take centre stage over the coming days.
Here are some of the highlights from 20 to 27 August 2026.
Thursday 20 August
The day begins with the traditional street market on Calle El Chorrillo, from 9:00 to 14:00. At 10:30, the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation will host a guided tour of its sculpture park. The activity costs 20 euros and advance booking is required.

At sunset, live music comes to El Palmar, with Mirrorball at El Pico de la Ola and Denis de Son at Nómada Playa.
Later in the evening, Nano de Marbella will perform at Caragato Taberna Flamenca at 21:30. Plaza de España will host Carnival Night with “DSAS3” by Jesús Bienvenido, winner of first prize at COAC 2026, at 23:00. The evening will continue with David Moreno DJ at 00:30.
There will also be a concert by Surrenders at 4 Tapas Vejer at 23:30.
Friday 21 August
Los Sabáticos will perform at El Pico de la Ola and Carmen Martín at Nómada Playa, both at sunset.
At 22:00, a flamenco show will take place at the Centro Cultural Municipal Antigua Iglesia del Rosario, featuring Antonio García on vocals, Verónica Melero and Camila Guimarey dancing, and Eloy González on guitar. Admission is free.
From 23:00, Plaza de España will welcome La Contrabanda and DJ Ciles.
Saturday 22 August
Saturday offers several ways to start the day surrounded by art and nature. At 10:00, a yoga session will be held at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation, priced at 10 euros. At 10:30, the “Cambiar la mirada” workshop will begin, also at the Foundation.
From 10:00 to 14:00, visitors can join a guided tour of the Torre del Tajo in La Breña y Marismas del Barbate Natural Park. The price is 2.50 euros.
The music begins at 16:00 with Fran Casillas at Nómada Playa. At sunset, the same venue will host a concert by Son de Bares.
The Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation will also offer a visit to James Turrell’s light sequence at dusk. The experience costs 30 euros per person, requires a minimum group of four and is not recommended for children under 12.

One of the week’s main events will be the 53rd Noche Flamenca de Vejer, recognised as an Event of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia. It will begin at 22:30 at the Murallas de la Segur. Tickets are available from Tickentradas and at the Complejo Deportivo Municipal, from 11:30 to 13:30.

The evening will continue in Plaza de España with Superagente 86 and DJ Angelo from 23:30.
Sunday 23 August
The guided tour of the Torre del Tajo will be available again on Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00.
In El Palmar, DJ La Armas will perform at Nómada Playa at 16:00. At sunset, Milenials will take to the stage at El Pico de la Ola, while Moisés Losada will perform at Nómada Playa.
There will also be another opportunity to experience James Turrell’s light sequence at the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation.
At 23:00, Dinosaurios Rock Cover Band will round off the day’s live music in Plaza de España.
Monday 24 August
At 17:00, the statue of Nuestra Señora de la Oliva will be taken from the Divino Salvador church to its sanctuary.

In the evening, Plaza de España will host a concert by Malahora and a set by David Moreno DJ from 23:00.
Tuesday 25 August
The Peña Cultural Flamenca, located on Calle Rosario, will host a flamenco gathering from 20:00.
It will also be the final day to visit the exhibition “Ese preciso instante” by Juan Quiñones Grimaldi at Vejer’s Museum of History and Archaeology.

Wednesday 26 August
Wednesday is an ideal opportunity to discover Vejer’s historic quarter on one of the guided tours exploring its streets, walls, monuments and legends.
Thursday 27 August
The street market returns to Calle El Chorrillo from 9:00 to 14:00.
At 10:30, the Montenmedio Contemporary Foundation will host “Desayunos con arte”, an activity combining food and culture. It costs 20 euros and advance booking is required.
At 21:30, Nano de Marbella will give another flamenco performance at Caragato Taberna Flamenca.
