Create your own tuna route in Vejer!

Without going far, at Califa Tapas, El Jardín del Califa and Califa Express you can find a selection of dishes made with the “red gold of the Atlantic,” where tuna is reinterpreted through a variety of flavorful creations.

  • At El Jardín del Califa you can try our almadraba tuna cous cous, a unique dish available only at this restaurant, combining one of the most popular Middle Eastern recipes with wild almadraba tuna. “We created this recipe to bring a delicacy like almadraba tuna into our menu,” says Khadija Essaadi, the restaurant’s chef.
  • At Califa Tapas, you’ll find tuna dishes such as tuna loin served over a bed of white beans with basil vinaigrette, or tuna steak with romesco sauce and roasted potatoes.
  • At Califa Express, you can try the tuna Ataif (a light pan-cooked crêpe filled with onion, feta, fresh tuna, and a touch of capers).
