Vista Janda, the new member of Califa Casas family

We start the new year with a new house, Vista La Janda, a house reformed in 2022 which offers comfortable accommodation on the outskirts of old town Vejer. The bedrooms have A/C and ocean views.

Vista La Janda is a typical Andaluz property, accessed from a pretty communal patio full of flower pots and plants. There is a table and chairs here, the ideal spot to take morning coffee.

The property has been refurbished in a contemporary style with a mixture of modern and artisan furniture, traditional archways and unique work by local artists.

The front door leads from the patio directly into the open plan living/dining/kitchen which is equipped with large comfortable sofa, large flatscreen TV, dining table, fridge, hob, combi-microwave and dishwasher. A separate laundry room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a modern shower room off the kitchen area.

Privacy and comfort.

5 steps lead down to the exterior terrace and the light and airy bedrooms. There is one double (Queen) bedroom with stone sink and one twin, which can be made into Superking on request, both with built-in wardrobes, A/C and ocean views.

The house enjoys a sheltered and enclosed terrace with open views towards the Barbate/Zahara de los Atunes coastline and La Breña National Park, popular with walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The terrace is perfect for exterior dining or a drink whilst the lights of the African coastline twinkle in the distance. Here you will find in-built seating, dining furniture and a hammock to relax in.

The house is situated on the outskirts of the old town, in a neighbourhood full of narrow cobbled streets and pretty colourful bougainvillea. There are no bars or nightlife in the immediate area. Just 300m away, you will find the emblematic Plaza de España with its fountain, Califa Restaurant, tapas and wine bars, minimarkets, bakery and butchers. The road which runs around the perimeter of the village is just 50m away, here you can drop off luggage and shopping.
