Today we have had the pleasure of opening the doors of our hotel Plaza 18 to a group of tour operators and travel agents from Andalusia who have visited Vejer within a Fam Trip organized by the Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Cadiz, in collaboration with Turismo Andaluz.
“We applaud all the measures that are carried out to revive tourism in Vejer and sell the destination. For us, moreover, it is an honor that the Tourist Board has counted our hotel in its tour,” says James Stuart, CEO of the Califa Group.
The Califa Group’s marketing and communications manager, Desirée Di Nitto, was in charge of the technical visit, showing all the hotel’s spaces and explaining its history, sustainable philosophy, artistic plan, design and details of the stay. The participants, specialized in interior, nature and gastronomic tourism, discovered all the details of the restoration project carried out by the award-winning British interior designer Nicky Dobree in collaboration with the Califa Group. In particular, the agents praised the interior designer’s good taste and the decoration of all the facilities. After visiting the courtyard, the living room and some of the bedrooms, the tour concluded on the terrace of duplex 6 with a group photo.
This fam trip is a familiarization trip aimed at Andalusian receptive agencies framed in the Covid-19 Shock Plan being developed by the Ministry of Tourism, Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration of the Junta de Andalucía. All focused, according to the Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Cadiz to “recover the activity of tourism intermediation, so necessary for the revival of the sector after the health crisis. The aim is that agencies and tour operators know the resources available to the province of Cadiz to offer them to their customers thus reactivating the destination.
Plaza 18, discrete luxury design
In the medieval quarter of Vejer Plaza 18 gives the feeling of a private house rather than a hotel. Its six rooms guarantee privacy, luxury and comfort. The hotel occupies a 19th. century manor house renovated by British interior designer award-winning Nicky Dobree, famous for her fabulous luxury villas. The designer, in collaboration with the Califa Group, has created in Vejer an elegant refuge for 21st. century travellers, which you will enjoy as if it were your second home.
