Casa Cuatro Gatos
Casa Cuatro Gatos is a traditional Vejer merchants house with a ‘patio’ courtyard roofed over with a skylight.
All rooms lead off the patio and on the second floor all rooms lead off the gallery. The entrance hall is flag stoned with a door leading in to the kitchen, the store room and the main courtyard. The large open plan kitchen and dining room comfortably seats 10 guests.
All the modern appliances and kitchen facilities have been recently installed.
The ground floor also comprises a double bedroom, music room with piano and lounging ‘chinese’ bed and bathroom with walk-in shower. There is also a small ‘chapel’ where informal weddings have been held. A stone staircase leads off the courtyard to a gallery on the second floor.
The second floor hosts a large sitting room which runs the full length of the house with two seating areas, comfortable sofas and a wood burning fire.
There are three further double bedrooms, a dressing room and three bathrooms, one with a full length bath and the others with walk in showers. There is also a small single room on this floor.
A flight of stairs leads up to the grand roof terrace.
From the roof there are panoramic open views across the town, towards the pine forests and sierras, over the coast and on a clear day Africa can be seen on the horizon.
